The cupping triple therapy is originally discovered by Dr. Liang Zhang at München, Germany. He found that regular acupuncture therapies are not enough to help some complicated conditions. He then tried numerous therapies and adjust of therapy parameters, and eventually found the combined three therapies: electrical cupping, acupuncture, and infrared lamp, to take care of complicated disorders. The method first cups all locations covering the back Shu points of Foot Bladder Meridian. After that, the second cupping session is on the rest area of the back. After two sessions of cupping, one session of acupuncture on Jiaji points, from the upper back all the way to the lower back will be performed. The infrared lamp is used in the whole treatment process.
This therapy has been reportedly helped multiple complicated conditions including but not limited to: asthma, ankylosing spondylitis, multiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, anxiety, rheumatoid arthritis, migraine, Meniere’s disease, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, severe cervical/lumbar disc herniation, cancer pain and endometriosis.
For example, he treated 52 cases of asthma, 27 cases were clinically cured (no symptoms, no recurrence, no medication for more than one year), 22 cases were significantly improved (occasionally using medication or the dose of medication reduced to half), three cases were not improved.
He also treated 11 cases of ankylosing spondylitis. 10 cases had no pain symptoms, without taking any pain reducing medication. One case was not improved by this therapy.
Some cases were followed up for more than 10 years without recurrence.
